Learning Objectives of the Unit:

Objective # 1: The employee will be able to identify the types of injuries that can be sustained by exposure to battery acids.

Objective # 2: The employee will be able to identify what Personal Protective Equipment is provided to workers handling batteries.

Objective # 3: The employee will be able to identify where facilities for quick drenching of the eyes and body are located.

Objective # 4: The employee will be able to explain why battery charging installations are located in areas designated for that purpose per 29CFR1910.178(g)1.
